ALLERGY TESTING
Allergies are prevalent in Southern California, and many people suffer from runny noses, post-nasal drip, sneezing, or itching from allergies. At Calwest, we offer comprehensive allergy testing and treatment that includes the newest and most reliable medical techniques.
Our allergy testing protocol utilizes both the skin prick test and the intradermal test to screen for the most common allergies found in the Southern California area. This dual-modality testing technique allows us to determine what a patient is allergic to, as well as the relative severity of their allergy.
After reviewing the test results, we work with our patients to formulate a treatment plan that is tailored to each individual’s symptoms and lifestyle. This may include allergy medications, strategies for limiting exposure to environmental allergens, and/or allergy immunotherapy.
We provide two types of allergy immunotherapy, including allergy shots and allergy drops, which are placed underneath the tongue. Allergy shots are delivered in the office by trained personnel, while drops are self-administered by the patient at home. Both techniques have been shown to be very effective at relieving allergy symptoms.
If you are tired of suffering from allergies, we encourage you to schedule an appointment for an allergy evaluation.
